To Montauk

Today, we left Floral Park and took the Long Island Railroad

to Jamaica and then boarded the Montauk Express. The journey will take almost 3 hours- Montauk is at the very eastem tip of Long Island. The railroad commenced service in 1895, opening up the area as a vacation spot for New Yorkers. The line is dotted with stations servicing all towns along its route - some with platforms so small, they can only accommodate one carriage!!

On arrival at Montaux Station,

we were met by CC's cousin. We lunched by the ocean. The weather was beautiful - on the late 70s with a nice breeze. (I'm Americanised now with the Farenheight !!).

We returned to her house and relaxed on the sun for the rest of the evening.
